This coming Sunday’s service, Sunday 14th January 2018, is at 11.00am when our Minister, Rev’d Kevin de Beer, leads us in morning worship for All Ages. We are pleased to welcome Liz Blackman, wife of Rev Ross Blackman, to speak to us about the Passion Pay which takes place in Hamilton during Holy Week. Liz will present and show multi media to us during the service. The hymns that Sunday include: Come down O love divine, Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and Take my life and let it be. The readings are: Psalm 29 and Mark 1: 4-11. The theme is “Baptism of Jesus”. Crèche facilities are available every Sunday for the youngest of Children. We would be delighted to welcome you. Let us build a house where all can dwell – All are welcome in this place!
Please remember in prayer the families of the late John Fisher, Mr Henderson and Rena Girdwood who recently passed away. Service for Messers Fisher and Henderson took place last week. Rena’s funeral will take place within Bellshill Central Church on Wednesday 10th at 11am to which all are invited to come along and remember Rena and give thanks for her life.
Our organisations begin to resume now January has arrived
- Wednesday 10th at 10am Movers and Shakers, and 7pm Carpet Bowls
- Friday 12th at 7.30pm Church Choir in the church hall.
- Tuesday 16th at 6pm Rainbows
- Wednesday 17th at 1pm the Bellshill Probus Club, carpet bowls & movers and shakers meet at their usual times.
- Thursday 18th at 6pm the Brownies
- Thursday 18th at 7.45 the Guides
- Sunday 20th at 11am Young Church and Crèche meet in the hall/church during Sunday worship.
- Monday 21st at 1.00pm The Guild meet with a Burns Celebration with Irene Dick. All welcome – both men and women.
- Crazy Toes Dance School meet every Saturday during the school term from 10am in our Church hall. Check out their Facebook page for more information.

Our prayer book continues to be available in the main vestibule of the church. We offer prayer for those asking for specific people and circumstances each week during worship.

Our minister, Revd Kevin December Beer, continues in his weekly “Word on Wednesday” via Facebook. These involve a short 5-10 minute reflection, bible passage and prayer. We’d encourage you to look us up (Kevin De Beer and Bellshill Central Parish Church) to keep up to date. Kevin launched his “First Steps” book. ADVANCE DATE FOR YOUR DIARY
Sunday 21st January at 6.30pm in Dalziel St Andrew’s the joint choirs of Bellshill Central and Dalziel St Andrews Churches will help lead a service in the week of prayer for Christian unity. This is jointly run with the Lanarkshire Society of Organists and a donation will be taken to support St Andrew’s Hospice. Please mark the date in your diary and come along!
COMMUNITY HALLS AVAILABLE FOR USE
Our hall and facilities are available at other times during the week and are available to be hired for one-off occasions or longer term lets. Please get in touch with us if you need a space to hire. We have now installed Wi-Fi which means we can offer facilities for online events taking place in the church and halls.
