About us

At Bellshill Central Parish Church, you’ll find a warm welcome from a community of committed Christian people who take their faith journey seriously while also enjoying fellowship and good times together.

Our worship is passionate and heartfelt, blending the richness of traditional church life with the freshness of new expressions of praise. Our preaching seeks to make the message of Scripture relevant to everyday living, helping each of us grow in faith and understanding.

If you are looking for a church that will honour your journey of faith and encourage you to go deeper in your relationship with Jesus Christ, we believe you will find a home here. We are delighted to welcome you — may no one ever feel a stranger in this place.

We meet at various times throughout the week, but at the heart of our life together is Sunday worship at 11:00am, where all are invited and all are valued.

Bellshill Central Parish Church was formed in March 2014, when the former Macdonald Memorial and Orbiston Parish Churches united to become one vibrant congregation serving the community of Bellshill.

Our Partnership with Orbiston Neighbourhood Centre

Part of the outreach of the former Orbiston Parish Church was the Orbiston Neighbourhood Centre, a vital community hub supporting adults, young people, and families across the area. As a united congregation, we continue this commitment by offering the Centre the use of our Orbiston buildings rent‑free, enabling their work to flourish as part of our shared mission to serve the parish.

Our members are actively involved in the Centre’s day‑to‑day activities and planning, and we see the Centre as an integral part of our ministry within the community.

We are especially proud to support the Community Fridge Initiative at Orbiston Neighbourhood Centre. Each week, we collect non‑perishable food items, toiletries, and cleaning products which are delivered to the Centre and distributed to people across our town. Every autumn, our Harvest Service Food Drive provides a substantial boost to the shelves, helping ensure that no one in our community goes without.

About Bellshill…

The popular town of Bellshill and its excellent Main Street offer a wealth of shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants, and everyday shopping needs. The location is very attractive to families with popular schooling in the area, including the nearby Cardinal Newman and Bellshill Academy High Schools. The area benefits from an array of leisure facilities, including gyms, swimming and sports complexes, bowling clubs, a number of children’s play areas, nature walks, and the nearby Bellshill golf course. Bellshill also benefits from its very own train station, which provides a regular service to Glasgow and Edinburgh City Centres as well as connecting throughout the rest of the UK.
