There can be very few churches in the central belt around Wishaw, Motherwell, Hamilton, Larkhall, Shotts, Carluke area that has not benefited over the years from the services of the Wishaw and District Brigade Band.
On Sunday 17th September at 7.00pm there is a celebration of the fiftieth anniversary years of the band with a Drumhead Service in Wishaw Old Parish Church, Main Street, Wishaw.
Nine flags will be on display representing the band and the Boys Brigade and Girls Brigade companies the members belong to. If you are within reasonable travelling distance of Wishaw Old Parish Church please do come along. They have supported many folks locally, now is the time to reciprocate.
Please be there, refreshments will be served after the service. The programme has been put together by the band. They have a buzz about them in the build up. This is their day. It will never come round again. Please share it with them.
