Bellshill Central Church weekly news

Bellshill Central Church – we’re definitely still here and definitely still open, and we’d love to see you. Whether you were here not long ago or haven’t been for a long while, you will be guaranteed a warm welcome. we’re a growing church, and we’d love for you to be a part of it.

Sunday worship on 10th August will be held at BELLSHILL CENTRAL PARISH CHURCH, 346 Main Street, Bellshill. Step free access is available via the side path, disabled toilet facilities. Baby changing is available.  

We gather at 11am for our morning service, which is led by Ian Douglas and will be a BACK TO SCHOOL SUNDAY, focusing on our new school term, giving thanks for teachers and pupils, and pupils are asked to bring their new school bags to be blessed.

Although official Young Church is on summer holidays, activities for young folks are available during the service for any young folks that come along with you. An interactive all age talk takes place before the activities begin. Children are welcome to gather in the church with their parents.

Our service will be livestreamed via http://www.youtube.com/bellshillchurch if you’re not able to come along in person.


A joint Kirk Session and Board meeting with Presbytery representatives from planning and implementation takes place on 4th August at 7.30pm in the church. All trustees are requested to attend.


The deadline for submissions for the Autumn church magazine, The Chronicle, is Sunday, 17th August. Please pass items to Alan Mathew via hello@bellshillcentral.church

Those folks who are still to complete their towns and villages quiz from the summer magazine should pass their entries to Alan Mathew by 17th August to see who the winner is.

BLYTHSWOOD SHOEBOX APPEAL 2025  – Once again, we are coordinating shoeboxes for the appeal. We have leaflets and checklists available at church, along with some spare shoeboxes. If you want more info on this annual appeal and how you can help, please see Jayne Anderson in the choir.

HOPE FOR AUTISM NORTH LANARKSHIRE – sessions with Hope for Autism meet weekly. Sessions are Mondays at 7 pm. Please do pass the word around for all young adults who might benefit from HOPE FOR AUTISM support HOPE@hopeforautism.org.uk or Phone: 01236 779 191

Each week, we collect non-perishable food items, cleaning products, and toiletries for the Orbiston Neighbourhood Centre’s Community Fridge Initiative. You can drop off items anytime we are open or bring them along on Sunday mornings.
