ONLINE WORSHIP SUNDAY 23RD AUGUST 2020 FROM BCPC

Hello there friends

Can you believe we are more than 5 months into “online worship” having to interact digitally as the Church here in Bellshill? It is a strange time indeed, but one that has allowed so many people to be involved in our weekly worship.

Today’s worship is live from 10.45am, and it would be wonderful if you could join us as we sit down in our homes at the same time. However, COVID-19 has made us realise that more people tune in outwith Sunday mornings and that is just wonderful too! So if you worship later on we welcome you just as warmly.

Tune in via YouTube, or….

Young Church Online – memory verse!

Todays young church online is a little different. We’re introducing our first memory verse!

A memory verse is something all adults and children can take part in.

Todays verse is:

Ephesians 4:32 – Be kind to one another.

Mum’s & dad’s, grannies & grandpa’s, teachers and friends…….. Help our children to talk about what it means to be kind.

  • What things can someone do to be kind?
  • When did we last do something kind?
  • How did being kind make you feel?
  • Make sure you do an act of kindness everyday 😊

Craft:

Make a colourful craft making sure to include our memory verse

“Be kind to one another”

  • You could make a bookmark πŸ”–πŸ“š
  • You could draw a picture of something you did being kind πŸ–ΌοΈβ€οΈ
  • Write a poem about kindness, perhaps how you feel when you are kind to someone or someone is kind to you.

This craft is all up to you! We want to see your pictures of what you’ve thought up, and created.

Get help to record a video of you, and you friends, or with mum and dad saying this week’s memory verse………. EPHESIANS 4:32 – BE KIND TO ONE ANOTHER.

Remember to send your pictures and videos to Bellshill Central Parish Church on Facebook or Twitter @bellshillcentral

Every morning say together our memory verse, as you leave for school or go out to play

Each night as you go to bed say our memory verse.

Get everyone at home to say it together. You’ll notice how good it feels being kind to others.

To finish off young church here’s a song to sing 😊🎢

Week of Prayer

The Church of Scotland is running a Week of Prayer from Monday 17 to Saturday 22 August.

  • At 8am each morning a pre-recorded reflection will go live on the Church of Scotland website and on Facebook (we will share this content on our page).
  • There will be a suggested prayer activity that you can choose to take up at some point during the day.
  • Each of these activities has been designed for all ages but certainly with children and families in mind.
  • In the evenings, there will be a β€˜live’ gathering on Zoom in which we hope many from across the country and perhaps further afield will participate.
  • These will commence at 8.30pm – giving time for those who need to settle young children and for those who may have earlier meetings to join.

The Church of Scotland has asked us not to share the zoom details publicly but these can be obtained via an email to Bellshill Central at bellshillcentral@gmail.com
