On Sunday 15 November, congregational meetings will take place in the respective churches of Bellshill Central, Holytown, Kirk o Shotts, New Stevenston Wrangholm Kirk, and Newarthill & Carfin. Members will vote on the Basis of Union and Basis of Reviewable Tenure to form Legbrannock Parish Church of Scotland, in accordance with the approved Presbytery Mission Plan.
The proposed places of worship are Bellshill Central and Newarthill & Carfin, along with the halls at Holytown and Salsburgh.
Voting will be by paper ballot, overseen by representatives of the Presbytery of Forth Valley and Clydesdale. Only those on the Members Roll or Adherents Roll may vote. Proxy and online voting are not permitted.
