COMING SOON – the BIG Hymn Sing!

The Big Sing (Hymns Old & New) takes place on Sunday 27th October at 6.30pm in the Church with organist Alan Mathew, Presenter Hugh Ainsley and the augmented Bellshill Central Choir.  We are raising funds for Project Gambia: People Feeding People.    We invite everyone to come along and be part of this evening of wonderful singing.   Hymns include: old favourites – I will sing the wondrous story, O for a thousand tongues, And can it be, Who is on the Lord’s side, Guide me o thou great Jehovah and I to the hills will lift mine eyes; and more contemporary songs – Be still, Sing of the Lord’s goodness, See what a morning, The Lord’s my shepherd I’ll not want and In Christ Alone.

About our Charity – Project Gambia: People Feeding People is a Scottish Charity which functions to support St. John’s School for the Deaf in Serrekunda, in the West African state of The Gambia. They now also support St. Patrick’s Lower Basic School and St. Joseph’s Nursery School in The Gambia. The Gambia is one of Africa’s poorest countries, ranking 173rd out of 188 countries in the U.N. Development Programme’s 2016 Statistics for Human Development.

One of the songs we will sing…. a wonderful new song
Another great Hymn of the Church in the 21st Century. A firm favourite here at Bellshill Central

A Time to Remember

Time to Remember Service is a new service for us here at Central. It aims to offer a quiet, contemplative space and environment for those who may be recently bereaved or needing time to pray for a particularly difficult situation. Please invite anyone you feel might benefit along, on Sunday 3rd November at 6.30pm, here in the church.

An opportunity to come and remember your loved ones who have died, hear their names read out and to light a candle.

Remember a time or difficult situation.

If you would like to attend and wish a loved one’s name read out please email us on bellshillcentral@gmail.com or phone 01698 841176

Appeal from Bellshill Community Food Bank

The Bellshill Community Food Bank have ran out of carrier bags which are needed to give out the various food parcels. If you can help out the Food-bank with carrier bags, you can leave any carrier bags at Bellshill Central Parish Church anytime we are open. There is a box in the large hall, or you can pass to Lawson or Jean Kyle at the Church. You help is greatly appreciated in this important outreach program.
