Q. Where is the Church?
A. Almost directly opposite Bellshill Academy, and directly across from the Salvation Army Church.
Q. Do you have to be a member to come to the church?
A. No – all our services and activities are open to everyone.
Q. Are the services aimed only at those who believe?
A. No – believers and searchers and doubters are equally welcome.
Q. Why should I think about coming to Church?
A. There are many reasons, both spiritual and practical. It can provide a focus as well as an opportunity to share in the life of the community. It provides an oasis of spiritual refreshment and a forum for challenge in the hustle-bustle of life.
Q. When are the services?
A. Sundays at 11am as well as some special services. They are also livestreamed via our Facebook page.
Q. What happens at these services?
A. We sing, pray, read and listen – any words you need are provided (you don’t need to bring a hymn book or a bible).
Q. How should I dress?
A. You can wear anything you like – from suits to jeans.
Q. Are there reserved seats?
A. No – sit where you want.
Q. Can I bring my children?
A. Yes – They will be welcome. The children stay in the church for the first part of the service and then, after the second hymn, go out to Young Church. You can either bring them to the service or take them to the church hall just before the service so they can meet up with the Young Church leaders and come through as a group. There is also a Creche.
Q. What about Communion Sundays?
A. There are 5 Sundays a year when Communion is celebrated (the 2nd Sunday in March, June, September, and December, plus Easter Sunday). Everyone is welcome.
Q. Is there a chance to speak to other people?
A. Coffee is available in the Church Hall after the services on the 1st Sunday of each month. This provides a good opportunity to meet people. If you have any questions, speak to one of the office bearers on duty.
Q. Can I speak to the Minister?
A. You can chat to Margaret (our locum minister) after the service. If you need to chat to her about anything specific (ie arranging baptism, wedding, discussing problems etc) you can arrange a time to meet with her.
Q. What about a wheelchair, hearing aids etc?
A. In order to enable as many people as possible to share in worship, step free access is available via the East side door for wheelchair & pedestrian access; an audio induction loop system is in operation and large print hymn sheets are available (please just ask). All are welcome.
Q. What next?
A. Come along any Sunday! Introduce yourself to the duty team at the door. You will be made most welcome, and we’d be delighted to see you.
Q. Apart from the Services, what other church activities are there?
A. There are many groups and organisations meeting on the premises during the week – for all ages. Do come along – you will be very welcome. A list of all the organisations can be found online.
