The details for Mrs Toal’s service are as follows.

Photo by RODNAE Productions on Pexels.com

a) A service will be held at Holytown Crematorium on Tuesday the 2’nd March at 09h30

b) The hearse will pass the church (Bellshill Central) from Fosters funeral care at a time still to be determined (but it will probably be at about 09h15). Those who might want to pay their respects are invited to stand outside the church at the appropriate time.

c) Restrictions are still in place and so there will only be 20 at the service (which will be by personal invitation)

d) For those who might want to offer a brief prayer in honour of her life then one of the following hymns might serve as a guide to prayer (each one of these hymns proved special to Mrs Toal)

  • Lord of all being throned afar
  • Abide with me
  • What a friend we have in Jesus
  • The Lord of sea and sky
  • Will your anchor hold

BCPC Weekly news round up

Bellshill Central Parish Church at 346 Main Street continues to be physically closed to all in person face to face meetings, including Sunday morning worship

However, we are continuing to be the church locally in the community of Bellshill and Mossend by being active online, with Kevin’s continuing pastoral work and being a family of faith. Our groups and church members are in daily contact with each other.

How are we doing this?

  • WhatsApp groups for our church family and most vulnerable folks. Our church chat of 50+members keep upto date, sharing important news, moments of humour and prayers. There are also separate WhatsApp groups for our choir and guild.
  • Online worship is our main focus, with sunday worship online at 10.45am and midweek Young church on Wednesday at 12noon.
  • Check out our Facebook page with a lovely heartfelt testimonial from. Grace about her journey of faith to Baptism
  • These have growing “viewer” numbers each week reaching out beyond our building in ways we’d never have imagined. http://www.bellshillcentral.church/watch-live.
  • Organist Entertains provided by our own organist and maestro,  Alan Mathew.  The Golden Special Bumper Episode (50th) instalment is available tonight (Wednesday) at 8pm. Tonight‘s episode has dual cameras so you can see the maestros hands and feet! To date we have surpassed 25,000 views! http://www.bellshillcentral.church/organist-entertains. We have special messages from right around the world.

Looking forward our existing activities will continue online and we hope that you can join us when you can.  That’s the wonder of online church, you can worship where and when you are able.

Fairtrade fortnight

FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT
Fairtrade fortnight runs from 22nd February – 7th March

As the church buildings are currently closed, due to COVID-19, we haven’t been able to support Fairtrade this year, but you might like to host something like a fairtrade breakfast at home to support the work of Fairtrade

Many of our local shops all have Fairtrade good you might like to buy : from bananas and cereal to tea and coffee. If you’re looking for something for a little later in the day they also have Fairtrade chocolate and Fairtrade wine – and Fairtrade flowers too
