This coming Sunday’s service, Sunday 4th February 2018, is at 11.00am when our Minister, Rev’d Kevin de Beer, leads us in morning worship for All Ages.
The month of February continues in our exploration of Mark’s Gospel as part of the lectionary Year B. The theme for this week is “Jesus offers presence as healing”.
Our hymns include Lord I lift your name on high, Bless the Lord O my soul, Jesus Hands were kind hands, I heard the voice of Jesus say, Dear Lord and father of mankind and Praise to the Lord the Almighty. Our bible readings are Isaiah 40:21-31 and Mark 1:29-39. Crèche facilities are available every Sunday for the youngest of Children. We would be delighted to welcome you. Let us build a house where all can dwell – All are welcome in this place!
After the service we have our 1st Sunday’s teas and coffees in the hall where everyone is invited to come through to enjoy further fellowship and chat. This is an ideal opportunity to catch up with folks, and have a look at the displays from our groups on the hall noticeboards.
A massive thank you to those who organised and prepared our sumptuous Burns Lunch last week after the service. Special thanks to Jane and Lesley and the kitchen team! The servers and those who set up the hall were excellent as usual. The hall was full as we drank Irn Bru and sang Burns Songs. Thank you to Rev Kevin de Beer for offering grace. A great fundraiser but more importantly a great afternoon of fellowship.
We ask you to uphold in your thought and prayers the friends and family of the late Flora McAuley who passed away and whose funeral service took place on Friday 26th January at Bellshill Central Parish Church.
