Join us for Worship!!

Sunday 27th May 2018 – Sunday Service takes place at 11.00am, with Rev’d Kevin de Beer leading worship, with something suitable for All-ages. This particular Sunday we focus on Father, Son and Holy Spirit – the Trinity. The bible readings are taken from Romans 8:12-17 and John 3:1-17. Hymns include Holy Holy Holy Lord God Almighty, the Zimbabwean song Come all you people (Uyai Mose), Father we love you-Glorify your name, and God whose almighty word. Our choir leads us in a special anthem by Kelvin Thomas using Reginald Heber’s trinity words Holy Holy Holy Lord God Almighty – but set to lovely gentle tune, with a descant at the end. Sunday School and Crèche facilities are available each week.

Next Sunday (3RD June) is our monthly tea and coffee served after the morning service, but June and Stanley Cook celebrate a significant milestone wedding anniversary (50 years) and invite everyone to join with them with some Prosecco and cake during tea and coffee time to celebrate together as a church family this special anniversary.

A massive thank you to the Fund raising team for organising last weeks’ Christian Aid breakfast before church, and to those who were able to donate to Christian Aid through donation envelopes throughout the week. Thanks to everyone who supported Jean Hargrave’s Line-dancing night last Friday in the Masonic Hall.

Big SUMMER Sing 2018

BIG SING SERIES – this continues on Sunday 10th June at 6.30pm in the Church. Our organist, Alan Mathew, is organising a selection of hymns and songs to be included, and we need YOU to make it a success. We are supporting St Andrew’s Hospice through our monetary donations on the night, so please dig deep so we can donate as much money as possible. Lorna from the Hospice will be in attendance on the night to give an insight and update on the capital campaign and good work of the hospice. Refreshments will be served afterwards. If you sing a part in a choir and are coming along, please bring with you a copy of CH4, as most hymns will come from there. Look forward to seeing everyone!
