Sunday worship this weekend (Sunday 31st) is a joint service with Bellshill Central and Bellshill West Churches beginning at 11am at Bellshill West Church.
Live stream will be via Bellshill West Parish Church facebook page.
Rev Kevin leads the joint service, and hospitality is offered in the West church hall afterwards.
Things happening in the week from Central Church are:
- Monday evening prayer group has resumed via Zoom on Monday’s. Remember you can get in touch with Kevin anytime if you need prayer. If you want the zoom codes to join please email hello@bellshillcentral.church
- Tuesday our Walking Group “Heart and Sole” meets at the church for some time together walking and talking. Tea is available at the end. Bring comfortable walking footwear and a jacket in case of some rain! We meet at 7pm.
- If you are interested in learning some new worship songs please get in touch and we will arrange some singing sessions over the summer. Singing is good for you! It releases all sorts of good feelings and endorphins. It’s good for your breathing and a good way to meet new people. Contact organist@bellshillcentral.church if you’re interested.
- Grant and Sharon Malone along with Grant’s sister and a few others are doing the Ring of Steall on Saturday (today). It’s in memory for their mum and doing it for st Andrews hospice. Sunday 7th August regular weekly worship resumes at Bellshill Central Parish Church. Our services are at 11am and streamed live via facebook if you can’t come in person.
Our theme for Sunday 7th August 2022 is What does it mean to be created in the image of God? Our Reading is Genesis 1:26-31 and read by Cathie Bryden. The additional reading, within wthe message, is Psalm 8.
Our hymns include Be still, Speak O Lord and For the fruits of all creation.
Tea and coffee are served after the service on Sunday 7th August when we are back at Central Church.
Episode 100 of the organist Entertains is fast approaching. Please let Alan know of any special requests for this milestone event. If you’d like to send in a video saying hello, or what these 100 episodes have meant to you that would be great.
Sunday 14th August will be a minj songs of praise service service led by members of Bellshill Central Parish Church, since Rev Kevin is leading worship at Wishaw St Mark’s where he is interim moderator. Our main reading that week comes from Acts chapter 3.
Advance notice, Holy Communion will be celebrated on Sunday 11th September in church and live streamed. We will include a time of remembering for 9/11. There will be a retiring offering also. More details on the beneficiary next week.
Grateful thanks to our willing group of property folks, particularly Drew ane Jane Aitken and Robert and Chemaine Jarvie, for the upgrading of the church vesty. This will make the space more usable and organised space.
