Welcome
Friends in Christ, welcome. We gather in the presence of the God who never grows weary, whose love never fails, and whose promises never fade. Whether we arrive full of confidence or burdened by worry, God invites us to rest in him and discover renewed hope.
“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” (Isaiah 40:31)

Opening Prayer
Faithful God, you know our weariness, our fears, our unanswered questions, and our deepest hopes.
As we gather in your presence, lift our eyes beyond today’s worries. Renew our faith, restore our courage, and remind us that your love never fails.
Teach us to trust you, to wait patiently upon you, and to discover new strength through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Prayer of Confession
Merciful God,
Too often we place our hope in ourselves instead of you.
We become discouraged. We lose patience. We doubt your promises. We forget your faithfulness.
Forgive us.
Teach us again to trust in your timing, to wait upon your Spirit, and to believe that you are always at work, even when we cannot see the way ahead.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.
Words of Assurance
Hear the good news.
The Lord is compassionate and gracious. Those who trust in him are never abandoned. In Christ we are forgiven, renewed, and invited to begin again.

Isaiah 40:28–31
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

Reflection
Hope That Gives Us Wings
Isaiah speaks to people who were exhausted.
Their future seemed uncertain. Their faith had been tested. They wondered whether God had forgotten them.
Yet Isaiah reminds them:
God never grows tired.
While we become weary, God never does.
Hope is not pretending life is easy.
Hope is trusting that God is present, even when life is difficult.
The eagle does not escape the storm.
It rises above it, carried by the winds that others fear.
God does not promise a life without hardship.
Instead, he promises strength for the journey.
Sometimes God helps us soar.
Sometimes he helps us run.
Sometimes he simply gives us enough strength to keep walking.
All three are acts of grace.
Hope is not found in our own ability.
Hope is found in the God who carries us.

God of hope,
Renew your Church throughout the world.
May we proclaim good news with confidence, serve with compassion, and welcome all with love.

Renew those who are weary.
Those facing illness… those grieving… those caring for loved ones… those struggling with anxiety… those searching for work… those who feel forgotten.
Lift them on eagle’s wings.
Lord, in your mercy, Hear our prayer.
Renew our communities.
Bring peace where there is conflict.
Justice where there is inequality.
Compassion where there is loneliness.
Hope where there is despair.

Renew each one of us.
Help us to trust you more deeply.
Strengthen our faith.
Fill us with your Holy Spirit.
May our lives reflect the hope we have in Christ.

Gracious God,
Thank you that your strength never runs out.
