This month of June is where we are refreshed in a basic understanding of the Christian Faith. We turn to a few themes that help us explore the wealth that is our ‘Faith in the modern world’.

This Sunday we focus on ‘THE KINGDOM OF GOD’ with bible readings taken from Isaiah 65:17-25 and Mark 1:9-20. Hymns include ‘Our children Lord in faith and prayer’, ‘Lord you have come to the seashore’ and ‘O Jesus I have promised’. Sunday School/Young Church and Crèche facilities are available each week.

Grateful thanks are extended to our wonderful Fund Raising team who put on a splendid afternoon tea in the hall on 9th June. Central bakers outdone themselves with the vast array of goodies and treats! The final amount raised for Church Funds has still to be finalised, but will be available next week. Likewise, a massive thank you to all who supported our Big Sing in aid of St Andrew’s Hospice, that took place on 10th June. Special thanks to Alan Mathew, organist, Hugh Ainsley, compere, and those who provided refreshments afterwards.

Coming up: This Sunday’s Big Sing

Big SUMMER Sing 2018

Coming up on Sunday 10th June 2018 at 6.30pm we are holding our BIG SUMMER HYMN SING in aid of St Andrew’s Hospice (https://www.st-andrews-hospice.com/)

Our Organist, Alan Mathew, will lead some well chosen hymns and songs and we will have a speaker from St Andrew’s and refreshments in the hall afterwards. Entry is free, but an offering donation will be uplifted for the work and continued improvements at the hospice.

All the words will be projected onto our new visual displays at the front of the Church, so no need to worry about hymn books or song sheets – unless you want to sing your harmony part (in that case bring a CH4 with you).

All are indeed welcome!
