Funeral service for Mr Alex Tweedie

For those wishing to pay their respects, Alex’s funeral service will take place on Wednesday, 26th February, here at Bellshill Central Parish Church at 1.45pm, followed by a committal at 2.30pm in Holytown Crematorium.

We at Bellshill Central would like to pass on our condolences to Alan, Jennifer and the family at this sad time.

Alex was a long-standing member of Bellshill Central Parish Church and the former Macdonald Memorial Church. He was a faithful Elder and church officer. He was often the first face people would meet and offered a very warm welcome.

May he rest in peace and rise in Glory.

Renewal of Baptism vows on Sunday 12th January 2025

On Sunday 12th January at 11:00, we’re holding an all age service.

We think about Jesus’ own Baptism, New Beginnings, and our own Baptism.

We’ll finish by saying together our Baptismal Promises.

Anyone who was baptised in Macdonald or Orbiston Churches, Bellshill Central, or any church is invited.

So, the whole community is invited and we will warmly welcome you. Our church has been serving the community since 1873 and we still are!

After another short break, the Maestro returns for another organist entertains episode

On Sunday 10th November at 7pm via the Bellshill Central Parish Church YouTube channel, we have our next virtual instalment of the organist entertains.

Our organist Alan Mathew has prepared an action-packed show featuring favourite hymns and worship songs all played on the grand pipe organ at Bellshill Central Parish Church, right here in Bellshill.

Alan has been producing these episodes since Covid, and we are now on episode 112.

The show goes live at 7 pm this Sunday, and we do hope you can join in via http://www.youtube.com/bellshillchurch
