Worship takes place within Bellshill Central Parish Church on Sunday 16th September at 11.00am.
Our theme for the week is From the “joys of life” toward a “life inspired by God.” Scripture readings are from: Psalm 126 and Philippians chapter 4:1-8. Hymns being sung are Great is thy faithfulness, My life flows on in endless praise, I’ve got that joy and What a wonderful change!

Carpet bowls continues tonight (Wednesday 12th September) at 7.00pm in the hall. Captain of the club, the right honourable James Mackie, looks forward to welcoming all aboard!!!! Let the antics commence.

Friday night club continues on Friday nights on Friday 14th September at 7.00pm in the hall. Adults and child friendly. Games, crafts, table sports and a plentiful supply of hot drinks! It’s the place to be on a Friday evening!

The Church Choir resumes on Friday 14th September ay 7.30pm when our first focus will be Harvest working on John Rutter’s For the Beauty of the Earth.

NEW CHURCH WEBSITE
Our church website has been updated with a new address – www.bellshillcentral.church please update your bookmarks and browsers – and have a look at all the activities that take place. We will soon be taking a journey online called “Windows on our world” visiting all of the superb stained glass within our church. Keep an eye out for this!
ANNUAL CHURCH QUIZ

This took place last Friday with Hugh Ainsley at the helm as the best quizmaster in North Lanarkshire! Over £130.00 was raised for Church funds. The Bellshill West Church team won (for the 2nd year running).
AUGUST SPONSORED RUN/WALK

The response for this event has been overwhelming. To date over £900 has been received and we estimate that £1050 will be nearer the final total. The sponsor walk and run is always a very inclusive event giving the wider body of the church the chance to raise funds and take a physical part in a great wee afternoon. Thank to all!
CAR TREASURE HUNT RETURNS FOR 2018

On Sunday 23rd September there is a Car treasure hunt taking place straight after the church service. If you want to take part see Drew or Jane Aitken. You are invited to bring your pack lunch to church, and you will set off from 12.45pm. Tea and coffee “TO GO” will be supplied. £5 per head to take part. Home baking and hot tea/coffee on your return. Prizes will be awarded on the day for 1) quickest, 2) SLOWEST and 3) most imaginative; and probably more!
CHURCH GUILD RESUMES

The Bellshill Central Church resumes in October for their weekly activities – these generally take place on Monday’s within the Church Hall. The first meeting however is in Burnhead Parish Church, Uddingston, with our partner Guild that meets there. This is a communion service at 2pm in the afternoon. Please speak with Sheena or Liz if you need help to get to Uddingston.

Worship takes place within Bellshill Central Parish Church on Sunday 9th September at 11.00am.

Our theme for the week is “from personal tears towards tears that express the personal. Hymns being sung are All people that on earth do dwell, Jesus put this song into our hearts, Ye gates lift up your heads on high and Guide me oh thou great Jehovah.

Our service includes two sacraments, the sacrament of holy baptism and the sacrament of holy communion. We’re blessed at Bellshill Central to welcome the family of an infant to be baptised and a reminder that the sacrament of communion is open to all you love the Lord.

There will be a retiring offering at the service in aid of St Andrews Ambulance

Last year included, Beetle Drives, Fun Runs, Cakes and Candy, Car Washes and much more. Please let us know what you are organising so we can publicise and share new among our friends and members.

Worship takes place within Bellshill Central Parish Church on Sunday 26’th August at 11.00am.
Our theme for the week is “From the ‘promises of God’ toward the ‘God of promises’”. Hymns being sung are Seek ye first, I will offer up my life, Come people of the risen King and Lord of all hopefulness. The readings are from Hosea 14:1-9 and Matthew 6:24-34. Our summer choir meets for the last time this year on 26’th August at 10.00am in the Church Hall.

Last Sunday (19th) we held a service of baptism and for Back to School. The theme was living and responding to the Bible. Kevin’s preaching and All Age Address was superb and energetic. There was contribution from the Head Teacher, Angela Paterson, of Mossend Primary; along with his two children Michael and Sarah and members of the congregation as we prayed for a new school year, for pupils, staff, parents and family members. Check out our YouTube channel the whole service is available to watch at your leisure.
After the service our 2nd annual run/walk through Bellshill took place. Thanks to Alan Mathew for organising. We have raised to date around £410 with more sponsor sheets still to be returned. Well done everyone!! Certificates should be presented this Sunday at the start of the service.
