For 143 years the “Church at 346 Main Street” has been a constant presence working in our community, we extend a warm welcome to any of our activities. Our message for these 143 years has been that God cares about you and that you matter! While our town has journeyed through many changes over those years, the constancy of the witness of the “Church at 346 Main Street” has remained uninterrupted. The mission of any Church is to reflect through its presence, its music, its fellowship and its beauty the greatness of God, and we seek to do that here in all that we share.
We hope that everyone who enters these doors will find an encouraging, friendly group of people. While we are far from perfect, we are regularly discovering truths that are changing us individually and enriching our lives as a church community. As we worship together, learn from the Bible, and pray for one another, we are strengthened in our commitment to Jesus Christ as well as to each other. If this is your first time here, we welcome you, and invite you to share the joy that we have found.
This coming Sunday, 30th June 2019, our services is led by our friend and Minister, Rev Kevin de Beer. The theme is The nature of love. The bible readings are Psalm 147 and 1 Corinthians 13:1-13. This past weekend, the Weekend of Invitation, we shared in our Young Church, a Church Family BBQ and the Big Screen TV. It was a fantastic celebration of all ages, starting with the church service, with lively interaction with a “young driver” as we looked at God’s Road signs in the bible. The youngsters all received presentations for their participation throughout the session. The presentations were given by long standing Bellshill Central (and former Macdonald Memorial) Church member Mrs Margaret Matthew. She received a lovely presentation of flowers, on behalf of Young Church. Afterwards the BBQ with chefs David and Ian at the helm served a steady flow of hungry folks. Then some came into the church for some big screen Songs of Praise.
