Sunday worship continues at 11am each Sunday morning at 346 Main Street – Bellshill Central Parish Church. Our church is Central to Christ, Central to Bellshill and Central to YOU! For 143 years we have shouted out the Good News of Jesus Christ and of His love for one and all. We offer a warm and generous welcome to all, on Sundays or throughout the week at any of our week day activities and groups. Our minister, Rev’d Kevin de Beer, loves being in our Faith Family and reaching outwards into the communities of Bellshill Town Centre, Mossend and Orbiston. As the Church of Scotland Parish for Central Bellshill, including the Town Centre, we want to you be part of what is a wonderful community of fellowship and faith. Please simply #comeasyouare!
This Sunday morning, 17th November, join us at 11.00am (our usual time) at the church at 346 Main Street right at the Centre of our town. Our minister, Rev’d Kevin leads us in worship. Our theme is All things work out in the end and readings are Amos 9:11-15 and Revelation 22:1-11, read by a church member. Songs include the modern version of Be thou my vision, Shine Jesus Shine, and Praise to the Lord the Almighty. The service will be live streamed via our website and YouTube channel for those wishing to take part live or later on catch up. If you would like a tape, CD or DVD of the service these can be made available by speaking to Drew Aitken.
On duty this Sunday and looking forward to welcoming you are: C Bryden, C Jarvie, J Hargrave, S Cook, J Cook and J Mackie.

Yesterday, we were gathered together for Remembrance at the Cenotaph and at the Church. Thanks go to Mr Tom Taylor for organising the Cenotaph service and for handling the arrangements at the church making sure the youth organisations were able to take part with dignity and respect. He was responsible for the scattering of poppies from the gallery of the church during the 2 minutes silence, making a very moving gesture. #wewillrememberthem #LightUpRed. Our minister led a very moving service, preaching on the theme Faith without works is dead. We were very pleased to have with us visitors from our local community, along with representatives from 1st Bellshill & Mossend Scouts, the Army Cadets – 4 PIatoon Scots Guards (Bellshill), and our own Guiding units.

The Guild had a particularly good meeting this afternoon. Bill McDougall, Session Clerk at EK Moncreiff Church, had brought along a selection of ties. Each one had an interesting and amusing story to tell which linked into Bill’s life experiences which were many and varied. We heard about some far away exciting places he had visited while working with Scotland’s Police Service and then with the SFA. An excellent afternoon enjoyed by our growing number of members! New members always welcome!
