As the Church of Scotland in Bellshill we extend a warm welcome to any of our activities. People have been coming to this building to worship God for over a hundred years. While our town has journeyed through many changes over those years, the constancy of the witness of the “Church at 346 Main Street” has remained uninterrupted. The mission of any Church is to reflect through its presence, its music, its fellowship and its beauty the greatness of God, and we seek to do that here in all that we share. We hope that everyone who enters these doors will find an encouraging, friendly group of people. While we are far from perfect, we are regularly discovering truths that are changing us individually and enriching our lives as a church community. As we worship together, learn from the Bible, and pray for one another, we are strengthened in our commitment to Jesus Christ as well as to each other. If this is your first time here, we welcome you, and invite you to share the joy that we have found.

Kevin our minister continues his new sermon series on the Letters to the Church in the New Testament in the book of Revelation. If you are watching live then the service begins at 10.45am and is available anytime thereafter to watch at your leisure on catch-up.

The words for each hymn will appear on the screen. But the hymns are, The Lord’s my Shepherd, To God be the Glory, Lord the light of your love, Knowing You Jesus and God of the poor. In place of our usual sing amen and blessings we have a loving sung version called Go now in peace.

Psalm 96(A)

1 Sing to the Lord(B) a new song;(C)
    sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord, praise his name;(D)
    proclaim his salvation(E) day after day.
3 Declare his glory(F) among the nations,
    his marvelous deeds(G) among all peoples.

4 For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;(H)
    he is to be feared(I) above all gods.(J)
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols,(K)
    but the Lord made the heavens.(L)
6 Splendor and majesty(M) are before him;

The Organist Entertains @ BCPC

Our Organist Entertains series is going from strength to strength. However, our maestro has taken a little break which means the content has changed for the Wednesday episodes for a few weeks.

We celebrated in our 21st milestone episode on Sunday 26th July and will premiere episode 22 with your requests and/or dedications on Sunday 2nd August at 8pm. You can watch that episode here

This week’s “midweek” Episode will premiere at 8pm on 5th August and will feature clips from two concerts held in Bellshill Central Parish Church which the organ plays a role in. The link will be made available as usual. The music is a mix of choral and organ. On Sunday 9th August at 8pm the regular requests will be available.

1 Come,(A) let us sing for joy(B) to the Lord;
    let us shout aloud(C) to the Rock(D) of our salvation.
2 Let us come before him(E) with thanksgiving(F)
    and extol him with music(G) and song.

3 For the Lord is the great God,(H)
    the great King(I) above all gods.(J)
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth,(K)
    and the mountain peaks belong to him.
5 The sea is his, for he made it,
