As the Church of Scotland in Bellshill we extend a warm welcome to any of our activities. People have been coming to this building to worship God for over a hundred years. While our town has journeyed through many changes over those years, the constancy of the witness of the “Church at 346 Main Street” has remained uninterrupted. The mission of any Church is to reflect through its presence, its music, its fellowship and its beauty the greatness of God, and we seek to do that here in all that we share. We hope that everyone who enters these doors will find an encouraging, friendly group of people. While we are far from perfect, we are regularly discovering truths that are changing us individually and enriching our lives as a church community. As we worship together, learn from the Bible, and pray for one another, we are strengthened in our commitment to Jesus Christ as well as to each other. If this is your first time here, we welcome you, and invite you to share the joy that we have found.

Memorial Service for All

WEDNESDAY NIGHT 7PM – MEMORIAL SERVICE – A BLUE CHRISTMAS A SERVICE OF HOPE DURING THE HOLIDAYS

We are hosting a Memorial Service in partnership with Fosters.  Please join us at 7pm on Wednesday to remember a loved one, either lost recently or some time ago.  This is safe and quiet space.   Please pass on the news of this service into our community. Tea/Coffee served afterwards at Fosters (a few doors away)

Prayer for general election

Heavenly Father,

We thank you for the opportunity to vote – to hold those in power to account,to freely exercise our values and beliefs.Please give us wisdom as we do so,and grace as we interact with those who disagree with us.We thank you for all the candidates in this election – for those who will serve in Parliament,for those who will govern our country.Fill their hearts with compassion and a desire for justice,so they will attend to the cries of the poor and oppressed.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Chris Tomlin’s Noel

A beautiful song.

Penned by Chris Tomlin with his producer Ed Cash and English worship singer-songwriter Matt Redman for the singer’s Adore: Christmas Songs of Worship album, his hope was that it would fit in with other timeless Christmas songs. “There’s something ancient about the melodies in that song that gives it a timeless feel,” Tomlin told Billboard magazine. There is a lyric in the chorus; ‘Come and see what God has done.’ Those words sum up the entire project. It’s my favorite line because that’s essentially what I hope that people take from it all.”


This features guest vocals from contemporary Christian music singer Lauren Daigle. Tomlin told Billboard that he had the Lafayette, Louisiana native in mind when writing the tune. “It’s probably the first song that I have ever written where that happened, but writing this track, I just envisioned Lauren singing it all-along,” he said. “I’m thankful she agreed to record it. Her vocal on the song is truly stunning.”

The word ‘Noel’ is derived from the French phrase “Les bonnes nouvelles” meaning “the good news.”
