Sunday worship continues at 11am each Sunday morning at 346 Main Street – Bellshill Central Parish Church. Our church is Central to Christ, Central to Bellshill and Central to YOU! For 143 years we have shouted out the Good News of Jesus Christ and of His love for one and all. We offer a warm and generous welcome to all, on Sundays or throughout the week at any of our week day activities and groups. Our minister, Rev’d Kevin de Beer, loves being in our Faith Family and reaching outwards into the communities of Bellshill Town Centre, Mossend and Orbiston. This Sunday morning, 3rd November at 11am our minister Rev’d Kevin preaches on “The Virgin Birth of Christ” with readings from Isaiah 7:7-17 and Matthew 1:18-25. The hymns include Come sing the praise of Jesus (t. Battle Hymn), He walked where I walk, Jesus name above all names, Lord I lift your name on high, To the name of our Salvation and Crown him with many crowns. The service will be live streamed via our website and YouTube channel for those wishing to take part live or later on catch up. If you would like a tape, CD or DVD of the service these can be made available by speaking to Drew Aitken.
AFTER THE SERVICE TEA AND COFFEE ARE SERVED AND EVERYONE IS INVITED AND ENCOURAGED TO STAY BEHIND.
Heart and Sole walking group meets this Sunday leaving at 1pm, please make sure you bring your walking footwear, and waterproof jacket. We may look to tackle Strathclyde Park this time. This isn’t just a church group. All members of the community are welcome. #getactive #keephealthy #walking
Saturday 2nd November we are pleased to be hosting the wedding of Megan and John. At 6pm until 9pm we hold our ever popular CHEESE AND WINE EVENING in the Church hall. Entry by £5 tickets and Christmas and Seasonal stalls are also available. Pick up that early Christmas stocking filler or gift.
As the church for the Town Centre, our outreach this November includes a Time to Remember Service and Community Christingle Service.
The Time to Remember Service takes place on Sunday 3rd November at 6.30pm in the Church at 346 Main Street. Time to Remember Service is a new service for us here at Central. It aims to offer a quiet, contemplative space and environment for those who may be recently bereaved or needing time to pray for a particularly difficult situation. Please invite anyone you feel might benefit. An opportunity to come and remember your loved ones who have died, hear their names read out and to light a candle. Remember a time or difficult situation. If you would like to attend and wish a loved one’s name read out please email us on bellshillcentral@gmail.com or phone 01698 841176. You are simply welcome to come along and listen, if that will help you through a difficult time.
CHRISTINGLE SERVICE on Saturday 30th November at 12noon, is for all ages, particularly families. At the start of Advent we discover the Christingle and its meaning of the light of Christ that we can take with us throughout December towards CHRISTmas day. Please look at our eventbright link on the website and register your families attendance so we have enough oranges, candles etc prepared for to make your Christingle. THIS IS A FREE COMMUNITY EVENT.
Bellshill Central Parish Church invites the whole community and especially any ex service men and women to come on SUNDAY 10TH NOVEMBER to the town act of Remembrance at 10.45am at the cenotaph followed by the church service at Central Church beginning at 11.30am. Youth and Uniformed organisations will take part and the poppies will once again be laid up at the War memorials.
Our regular activities take place during the week:
- Wednesday – Music Makers and Shakers classes all morning; 7.00pm bowls club
- Thursday – 6.00pm Brownies, 7.45pm Guides
- Friday – Choir 7.15pm; 7.30pm Friday Club.
- Sunday – 10.45 Choir, 11am Church Service, Sunday school, crèche. 12.15pm tea and coffee, 1pm heart and Sole walking group, 6.30pm Time to Remember service
- Monday – 1.30pm the Guild have a speaker planned, jewellery making with Maureen Jackson. Tea and goodies are always available and men and women are both equally welcome. There’s no need to be a member to come along.
- Tuesday – 6pm Rainbows
The Bellshill Community Food Bank have ran out of carrier bags which are needed to give out the various food parcels. If you can help out the Food-bank with carrier bags, you can leave any carrier bags at Bellshill Central Parish Church anytime we are open. There is a box in the entrance to the hall, or you can pass to Lawson or Jean Kyle at the Church. You help is greatly appreciated in this important outreach program.

- Saturday 30th November 12noon Christingle Service, 1pm Christmas lunch and celebrations, including a visit from the man in the red suit!
- Sunday 8th December Communion Service with retiring offering.
Our church buildings are available to hire for the whole community. Whether you’re after a large hall, a small office or the church itself, we have spaces available to suit. Our Church Hall is equally suited to dance classes, coffee mornings or birthday parties. We have a spacious and functional kitchen with ample room to prepare food etc. We have a fully accessible disabled toilet with baby changing facilities. Our halls and church are fitted with WiFi. The church has large screens and sound system suitable for meetings and presentations. Our hall has portable audio visual equipment available upon request.
